Prof. Dr. Shoaib Waqas is a distinguished Physical Therapist, researcher, and academic leader with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and a Ph.D. in Physical Therapy, completed in 2025. He graduated from King Edward Medical University in 2010 and has extensive clinical experience in managing musculoskeletal, neurological, and sports-related disorders.
Prof. Dr. Waqas has a specialized focus on pediatric physical therapy, with particular expertise in cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and motor function rehabilitation. He has actively contributed to translational research, developing evidence-based assessment tools and therapeutic interventions that enhance functional independence and quality of life for children with complex rehabilitation needs.
Alongside his clinical and research work, he contributes as senior faculty in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at Lahore University of Biological and Applied Sciences (LUBAS), with a strong role in teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring future rehabilitation professionals.
